Crypto market maker GSR is expanding into full-stack capital markets infrastructure, acquiring advisory firms Autonomous and Architech in a $57mn transaction. The deal is designed to unify services for tokenized projects, moving away from the fragmented ecosystem where teams typically manage multiple disparate providers for token design, liquidity and treasury management.
GSR Pursues Integrated Capital Markets Model with $57mn Twin Acquisition
The move reflects a broader trend in the digital asset sector toward integrated platforms. Under the new structure, Autonomous will continue to operate under its own brand to provide operational and financial infrastructure for tokenized organizations. Architech will serve as the foundation for a new digital asset advisory unit within GSR, combining token launch strategy and governance design with GSR’s existing institutional trading and derivatives capabilities.
Fragmentation drives integration push
The push for a unified offering addresses a persistent structural hurdle in the digital asset market. According to research from the CFA Institute, the current tokenization landscape is spread across various public and private blockchains, creating inefficiencies that require more robust and unified infrastructure to scale effectively.
GSR’s strategy aims to bridge this gap by bringing advisory, trading and asset management under a single institutional umbrella. The "one-stop shop" model is intended to reduce the coordination friction that often arises when projects must manage separate contracts and misaligned incentives between token economists, listing consultants and market makers.
Treasury management enters focus
The timing of the acquisition coincides with a surge in institutional participation driven by improved regulatory clarity. Financial institutions in approximately 80% of jurisdictions announced new digital asset initiatives in 2025, according to the TRM Labs Global Crypto Policy Review.
Beyond initial launch services, GSR is targeting the underserved segment of treasury management. Many crypto foundations control significant token reserves but lack the institutional infrastructure to manage them actively, often leaving their balance sheets concentrated and exposed to volatility. By integrating liquidity planning and risk management into its core offering, GSR is positioning itself for long-term financial stewardship of tokenized protocols.
